Removing Components
There are a few steps you need to know prior to attempting to remove any components from your computer.
1. Always leave the computer plugged into a surge supressor that is on and plugged into the wall outlet.
2.
Always make sure you are grounded, you may use a anti-static wrist strap attached to the metal case of the PC. In any event please make sure you grab the metal casing of the power supply.
3. Make sure you are not wearing a metal necklace, bracelet or watch and any items in your shirt pocket that can fall into the PC.
4. Do not bend, touch anything in the PC that you do not have to.
5. When removing component cards, do not jerk or bend them, use a slow back-and-forth movement and slowly remove them.
5. Take your time, think twice!
